Better English pronunciation to make things better!

さて、2011年の締めくくりは、英語らしいリズムを身につける練習です。まずはいくつかのセンテンスで練習してみましょう。それぞれ太字で書かれている音節に文強勢をつけて発音してみます。強勢のない音節は短く発音するのが英語らしいリズムのための重要なポイントです。文法語の weak forms（弱形）を出来る限り利用して音読してみましょう。↓

Today’s my singing
数多くの曲をリリースした Elvis のレパートリーの中で、社会問題を扱った曲が２曲だけあります。その中の１曲 “In The Ghetto” は、アメリカ黒人貧困地区（ghetto）で生まれる不幸な子供の人生に嘆き悲しむ母親にスポットをあてた、人種差別問題をあつかった大ヒット曲です。Elvis はこの歌をカムバックした当時のライブで好んで歌っていました。2011年最後の曲として今回はこの名曲を歌ってみましたので、アップします。スローなバラードですが、比較的早い速度で発音する部分が多く、特に weak form やなめらかな linking を取り入れたリズムの練習に良いと思われます。
まずは歌詞の中で特にリズムに特的な規則性がある部分を、歌のリズムを崩さずに朗読してみます。（歌のリズムのまま発音しますので、母音の長さが通常のスピーチと異なる部分があります。）↓
