前々回の久々の /l/ の練習に続き、久々の /r/ の発音練習をしてみたいと思います。今回の練習は tongue twisters と 短い passage を使ってやってみましょう。（/r/ の総合練習はこちらのアーカイブをご覧下さい。）
tongue twisters（いわゆる「早口言葉」）は、舌、唇、顎などの調音器官の筋肉運動のトレーニングですから、発音練習に非常に役立ちます。意味を考える必要は通常の文と比べれば無いように思われますが、文構造を無視して闇雲に早口で発音すると、pause を入れる場所等が不明瞭になり、発音しづらくなります。
以下の tongue twisters には /r/ がさまざまな position で多く出てきます。これらに注意しながらそれぞれをまずゆっくり発音して、次に少し速く発音してみます。あくまでもポイントは発音の正確さです。みなさんもぜひトライしてみてください。↓

次は文章です。いまイギリスでは日本の「かわいい系」「萌え系」がブームのようです。そんな記事があったので、これを音読してみます。/r/ の箇所は太字で、次の単語の語頭に /r/ でリンクするいわゆる “linking r” の部分は下線でリンクしてあります。↓
Japan’s “kawaii” pop culture style is making an impact on Britain’s youth and influencing the wider society, according to experts.
Over the last 10 years, the country’s youngsters have started to embrace the whole spectrum of kawaii — from the extremes of costume play down to the purchasing of accessories adorned with cute anime and manga characters.
And kawaii has crept into mainstream art and fashion, even though members of the public may not be actually aware of the fact, according to analysts who recently attended a panel discussion in London on the kawaii craze.
But observers are divided on the extent to which kawaii has taken hold and argue that Britain’s cute culture is more superficial than Japan’s.
