上のセンテンスを２通りの読み方で発音したものを聴いてみてください。↑
最初は全ての単語をきちんと発音しているのですが、英語スピーチとしてはあまり自然といえないリズムであることがわかると思います。２回目は、“wondering” の “won-” の部分と “help” のみに強勢（stress）を置いて発音しています。非常に英語らしいリズムになると思いませんか？
単語の数を増やしていきながら、英語らしいリズムを練習してみましょう。太字で書かれた部分に強勢（stress）をつけて、それ以外の音節は短く発音する練習です。英語らしいリズムをキープするためには、文法語（冠詞、代名詞、助動詞、前置詞など）を weak forms で発音するのがポイントです。たとえば “can” は /kən/、“could have” は /kʊd(ə)v/ と発音してみましょう：

上記を参考にしながら、次のそれぞれのセンテンスを、太字の音節部分のみに強勢をつけて英語らしいリズムで発音してみましょう：
